Catalonia is the best region to invest in the Southern Europe, according to the Financial Times group

FDi publication’s of the Financial Times Magazine established Catalonia as the best region in the southern Europe to invest, considering as indicators the economic potential, human capital and lifestyle, the profitability, connectivity and the climate of businesses. It also identified in Catalonia the best strategy for attracting foreign investment among the big regions of Europe.

This is one of the most prestigious international rankings used by multinational companies when it comes to studying future business investment projects. FDi Magazine’s classification analyzes the acquisition of foreign investment in more than 450 regions and cities in Europe and, among all, the five most attractive regions of southern Europe in 2018 and 2019 were Catalonia, Madrid, Lombardy, Istanbul and Lisbon, in order of relevance.

The publication also highlighted Catalonia to have the best strategy of attracting foreign investment among the regions considered ‘big’ (of more than 4 million inhabitants). This strategy in Catalonia is developed by the Generalitat of Catalonia through Catalonia Trade & Investment, an ACCIÓ which was created in 1985.

The aim of the Catalonia Trade & Investment strategy is to capture new productive investments in Catalonia and foster the reinvestment and roots of foreign companies established in the territory, through the promotion of the interrelation between multinational companies and Catalan suppliers.

Good news for the territory and for the Business Investment Attraction Office of the Intermunicipal Commonwealth of the Òdena Basin, with great facilities for business investment .
