The strategic lines of action of the entity focus on continuing to work to sign collaboration agreements with clusters, entities and associations of the territory, but also at national and international level, to promote investment in the region. As an active agent, the MICOD Business Investment Attraction Office works to develop a large industrial estate in the territory, in order to be able to host large companies (the Can Morera Industrial Estate), as well as two industrial areas that they are located, on the one hand, between the municipalities of Igualada and Jorba and, on the other, next to the Òdena Aerodrome.

In this sense, we are working on the Urban Development Plan (PDU) of the economic activities sector of the Òdena Basin together with the Generalitat of Catalonia in order that these three industrial sectors can be operational and accomodate new investments and companies. The Business Investment Attraction Office of the Commonwealth of the Òdena Basin, as an active agent of the territory, has hired an advisory technician that makes a bridge between the Commonwealth and the Generalitat so that give us advice about the drafting of the project.

On the one hand, from the Castellolí-Barcelona Circuit, with a 5G connection and ready to be a test area of the connected and autonomous vehicle, and on the other, to extend it to the whole Òdena Basin. The Business Investment Attraction Office wants to convert the Òdena Basin into a field of testing of the connected vehicle, and promote and sensitize the entire territory on the vehicle of the future, and incorporate it into the different municipalities, such as, for example, through public transport.
